Deadwood Hill Parking Lot

Client City of Deadwood
Date July 2025 – October 2025

This project transformed a previously vacant lot into a fully developed, functional, and visually appealing parking area. The work included hauling more than 27,000 cubic yards of rock offsite, grading the site, installing lighting, and constructing over 1,200 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter. Approximately 2,800 tons of base course and 1,750 tons of asphalt were placed, creating a durable surface designed to handle heavy traffic.

A key feature of the project is an 8-foot tall redi-rock retaining wall, carefully stained dark red to blend with the surrounding environment, providing both structural support and aesthetic value. Extensive landscaping and tree installation further enhanced the site, complementing its prime location adjacent to the “Welcome to Deadwood” sign on HWY 85. The finished project not only improves access and functionality but also creates an inviting and attractive entrance for residents and visitors alike.
